This helmet was constructed using pep files, fiberglassed, then skinned with foam. I then coated twice the helmet with CrystalGel. Once it was cured I proceeded to paint. This stuff is amazing. I found it much better than the FlexBond

This Cynderblock office was built for about $100.00 in an empty space used as a studio at the Art Institute of Charleston. Roscoe's foam coat on some left over insulation foam and 2x8 inspired one of our star students to experience the benefits of a built set over trying to fudge an existing office. Roscoe Products allow students who often skip lunch because of student loan payments - to dream a little bigger! Thomas Bono, Director/Art Director constructed this set with the help of You Tube Tutorials, patience, and tenacity!

This is the creation of a complex 'mosaic' stage floor for the Shaw Festival's production of Bernard Shaw's 'The Philanderer' designed by Sue Le Page.
The pattern was drawn as a quarter cartoon on paper and pounced out.
The pattern was repeated on the giant circle and inked in.
Textured rollers were used to give the impression of the mosaic tiles.
The colours were all Rosco paints on a Rosco Black background. The final floor finish was satin.

Gate: step one: 3 colour scumble: raw sienna, paynes grey (mixed with white), light brown - Step two: hand free drawn grout line with a piece of wood (light grey) - Step three: raw umber shadow around the stones (mix of raw umber/water/glaze) - Step four: darker grey around stones to accentuate shadow - Step five: spatter brown, cream beige, black all around the gate - Step 6: mix black with water and glaze and sponge around the edges and on random stones to create relief and weathered stones.

I was charged with building the Book of Life for our production of Angels in America Part 1. For this project I primarily used Rosco Crystal Gel to adhere the materials to the surrounding frame and to create a flame retardant barrier between the head source and the material. the entirety of each section was them cover in Chrystal Gell to ensure stab-ability and create the clear sheen we wanted.
