This is during "I Believe" when Melchior and Wendla are in the hayloft right before intermission. I wanted the rest of the children to be shadowy and dark. I choose brilliant blue to help create the wistful feelign of the song, while keeping the chorus more obscure.

Denizens of a dilapidated mall burrito stand become characters in the bizarro cartoon daydream of the assistant manager. R86 in the fresnel toplight and split R39 and R44 in uplight from 500W halogen worklights cast a sinister technicolor.

In addition to the Rosco Gel used there's a Hi-side break up system of R78049 "chessboard" one of my go to steel gobos w/ a cut of R132 to soften and half a cut of R97 to drop down the intensity of the lower half of the beam.
