This dance piece was inspired by the actress Gena Rowlands. The choreographer wanted to explore these three alter egos he believed she had and her relationships with people in addition to the stripping of identity. Light was used to create a mood for each of the "scenes" and explore the evolution of Gena as a person until we get to the final photo, with the shirtless man covered in wigs, where we loose all identity completely, thus going to a more stark whiter look.

In this piece I created a line of light that dancers stood in for a dramatic moment of looking into a mirror. I used R11, R388, and R92 to gradate from yellow to teal, making the composition more dynamic and uneasy.

Rosco Color correction was used in front and side lights to tone the actors. R99 was used in the backlights and R89 in the top lights to create the look of high pressure sodium lamps.

This is a rock history concert presented by the social studies department of a high school. This concert allows the audience and students to learn about the major historical events of a decade, accompanied by its musical influences in this annual production. It also allows the students of the school to perform the music and requires extreme authenticity of their portrayed musician for them to live out their rock star dreams!

It is a delicious "cloak and dagger" comedy located in Madrid. The characters are a group of young entangled in love affairs, dangers and deceptions that take place during celebrations of spring, which is traditionally the season of love.

These photos show the two forms the witch takes in the production. The witch transforms on stage, so the lighting plays a key role in making the transformation appear as smoothly as possible from the audience. I used a saturated straw color directly from above it casts deep shadows, which when combined with small amounts of fog, helped facilitate the transformation. However, more importantly, it only partially restricts visibility; the audience can still see the witch transforming, but details such as her nose coming off and her taking off her cloak were not obvious to the audience.
